CEO says Gazprom fulfils plan on gas pumping to Europe storages
MOSCOW, Nov 12 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom is implementing a plan for gas pumping into the European underground storages, Gazprom quoted CEO Alexei Miller as saying in a statement on Telegram on Friday.
“Gazprom has approved a plan for pumping the company’s gas into the European underground storage facilities and is currently implementing it. Various routes for transporting gas are being used. They include the route through the territory of Ukraine,” the statement read.
“Gazprom will exceed its obligations under the transit contract with Ukraine this year.”
Under the current 5-year transit agreement between Russia and Ukraine, 40 billion cubic meters of gas per year are to be transited in 2021–2024.
